Encyclopaedic dictionary of Hindi

It is needless to say that there is no dictionary in Hindi today that has all these features. The existing dictionaries are deficient in some or other aspect. Please visit our blog site for posts on lexical studies and our site Manak Kosh.
The advantage of a digital version of a voluminous dictionary is the power of navigation and the ease of search. One should be able to search for a list of Portugese words in Hindi or idioms of Hindi or words that have specific syntactic/ grammatical attributes. One could even look for technical terms or literary words.
Gyan Kosh, as the name itself suggests, is encyclopedic in nature. There is no such dictionary in Hindi today that gives this kind of information.
We are in the process of preparing this dictionary. As this is a huge project it will take some time to come into existence. We will suitably inform our users as it is made available. Till then one can do with the version of Chhatrakosh available on our site.
Lingua Net is committed to develop programs only for the NET and we are collaborating with established publishers to bring out the printed version of the dictionary when ready.
